Question:

Why isn't my Galaxy S10e/S10/S10+/S10 5G connecting to Gear VR after updating to Android S OS (One UI 4)?

Answer:

Unfortunately, Samsung's collaboration with Oculus VR, LLC ("Oculus") to support Gear VR compatibility with Galaxy smartphones ended on April 1, 2020. As a result, newer software upgrades might not include features required for using Gear VR. Specifically, if you've updated your S10 series device to One UI 4, Gear VR compatibility is no longer supported. Downgrading back to the previous software version is not possible. Samsung had previously communicated this End of Service announcement through Samsung Members and Samsung.com prior to the discontinuation of service. We're continuously working towards improving our services for you.
