Why did the Places tab disappear from my Phone app after updating to Android 12 (One UI 4)?

 

Answer:

The Places tab disappeared because the Samsung Places service was discontinued by its provider, Hiya. As a result, the Places feature is no longer available on One UI 4.0 (Android 12) and later versions across eligible devices, both new and existing ones. Samsung had previously announced this change through their Samsung Members platform prior to the discontinuation of the Places service. To find similar features, try using third-party apps instead.
