Question:

Why does the color chip change when I update my device to One UI 4 and select a new color chip on the Color palette?

 

Answer:

During the wallpaper change process, if you bypass the Color palette settings, your device will display the previously used color chip. When you choose a different color chip, the old chip (extracted from the prior wallpaper) will be removed and replaced with the new one (taken from the current wallpaper). This is standard operating procedure.
