Question:

After updating my device to Android S OS (One UI 4), some apps like Microsoft Outlook, Gmail, G Maps, or Facebook are forcefully closing and not working correctly. How can I fix this?

Answer:

Samsung is aware of this issue affecting devices running Android S OS. They are collaborating with Google to release updates for your device software and apps soon. To receive these updates, regularly check for them through FOTA (Firmware Over The Air) in your settings (Settings > Software update). It's essential to keep both your device software and apps updated at all times for optimal performance. You can enable automatic updates in the Play Store (Profile icon > Settings > Network preference > Auto-update apps).

As a temporary solution, you can delete all data associated with Dual Messenger, which might help restore proper app functionality. Note that this process will erase all your Dual Messenger apps and their data, so remember to back up your data before proceeding. Data backup instructions can be found within the messenger app or its website. The procedure may vary depending on the installed messenger, and not all messengers may support data backup.

To delete Dual Messenger data, follow these steps:

Go to Settings.

Tap Advanced features.

Select Dual Messenger.

Tap the three dots icon to access options.

Choose 'Delete all my data.'

Confirm deletion by tapping 'Delete.'

Restart your device after the data deletion is complete.

When using Dual Messenger apps again, you'll need to log in with your secondary account.
