Question:
Why does the call sound decrease suddenly
during a speaker mode call?
Answer:
During a speaker mode call, when the top of
the screen is covered, the proximity sensor activates and assumes that the mobile
phone is being used close to the face (near the ear). In this situation, for
hearing protection purposes, only the lower speaker at the bottom of the device
operates. As a result, the call volume may appear to be lowered.
