Question:

My calls sound robotic/muffled when connecting bluetooth to my car

  • Regular calls off bluetooth are fine

Answer:

Please ensure both the device firmware and Android Auto software are up to date

If software of device and app are both up to date,

Unrestrict the battery for the Bluetooth app on device:

To resolve connectivity issues between your device and the Bluetooth app, first ensure that both the device's software and the app are updated to their latest versions. Next, navigate to your device settings, then apps. Tap the 'Sort' icon at the top of the list to show system apps, find and select 'Bluetooth'. Afterwards, go to 'Battery', and set the power setting to 'Unrestricted' instead of the default 'Optimized'. This will help optimize the Bluetooth connection and improve the performance of the app.
  • Settings > Apps > (Tap the 'Sort'  icon at the top of the list) Show System Apps > Bluetooth > Battery > Unrestricted (This is 'Optimized' by default)

If issue still persists,

Advise customer to check and update the software of their car

  • Inform them to go back to their dealership

*Please do not create service unless issue persists with ALL calls or ALL bluetooth connections, not just calls in a car.
