Question:
How do I use Maintenance mode?
Answer:
Turn on the 'Maintenance mode' in Settings
or via Samsung Members app.
Device will reboot automatically.
Access to personal data like photos, videos,
contacts, messages, and call history will be restricted.
Only preloaded apps can be accessed (need to
re-authenticate and re-login).
Perform the necessary repairs or service.
Once done, return to normal mode using your
unlock code (Pattern, PIN, Password, or Fingerprint).
The device will reboot and exit Maintenance
mode.
You regain access to all personal data/information.
To turn on Maintenance mode:
Go to Settings > Battery and device care
> Maintenance mode > tap 'Turn on'.
Alternatively, open Samsung Members app >
Support > Maintenance mode.
Important notes:
Remember your lock code information (Pattern,
PIN, Password, or Fingerprint) to turn off Maintenance mode.
Back up your personal data before enabling
Maintenance mode, as unintended data loss or factory reset might occur during
repair or component replacement (e.g., main board).
If no lock screen is set, you will be prompted
to configure one when entering Maintenance mode.
