After updating the Samsung account app, Secure Folder app does not work properly.

Question:

After updating the Samsung account app(v14.0.00.11), entering Secure Folder app does not work and it keeps showing loading screen when resetting password. What should I do?

 

Answer:

We have confirmed that the requirements of the newly updated on Samsung account are not applied to the Secure Folder.

There will be new Secure Folder app version with fix, please delete Samsung account update version and sign in to your Samsung account. It will resolve the problem before getting fixed Secure Folder app version.

And please update the latest Secure Folder app version through Galaxy Store when it is available.

 

For temporary workaround, you can use following method.

  • Settings > Apps > Samsung account > More options(...) > tap 'Uninstall updates' (Samsung account v14.0.00.11)
    • (In case of reset Password needed) Settings > tab and sign in 'Samsung account' of the top > run 'Secure Folder' > mistype Password > tap 'Forgot password' > tap 'Reset' on the reset Password popup > enter New Password

[Fixed Secure Folder app distribution schedule]

  • For T OS: Secure Folder app update (scheduled in January 2023)
  • For S OS: Secure Folder app update (scheduled in January to February 2023)
