 Question:
How does Samsung Wallet protect data?

Answer:
Samsung Wallet protects data through encryption
and tokenization. When adding a payment card, the information is encrypted and
sent to Samsung servers and then to the card issuer's payment network (Visa,
Mastercard, Interac, or American Express) for approval. A one-time password
(OTP) may be required to verify your identity. This prevents unauthorized use
of your card if it's lost or stolen.

Each time a payment card is added, a new token
is generated. Even if you try to add a card that was recently removed, a new
token will still be created. In Samsung Wallet, only the last four digits of
the card number are displayed for easier management.

To make a payment, you must first authenticate
using your fingerprint or Samsung Wallet PIN. Once authenticated, a token is
sent to the payment terminal instead of your actual card information, keeping
your data secure. The token is then sent to the payment network, where it's
decrypted, verified, and processed. Only the payment network and your bank have
access to your actual card information.
