Question:

How to properly clean a Galaxy smartphone?

Answer:

Follow these steps to safely clean your Galaxy smartphone:

Power down your device, remove any cases or covers, and disconnect cables or accessories.

Gently wipe the exterior surface of the phone with a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth, such as a camera lens cleaning cloth.

If needed, dampen a corner of the cloth with a small amount of distilled water or an approved disinfectant solution (hypochlorous acid-based 50-80ppm or alcohol-based with more than 70% ethanol/isopropyl alcohol). Then, gently wipe the front and back of your phone without applying too much pressure.

Avoid getting moisture in any openings, excessive wiping, and do not apply or spray bleaches or liquid solutions directly onto your phone.

Don't use compressed air, abrasive materials, or harsh chemicals not approved for electronic devices.

Note: These cleaning recommendations apply to Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and the Galaxy Watch (not including watch straps). They do not apply to Galaxy Buds, keyboards, plastic straps for wearables, or any other Samsung product not explicitly listed.
