Question

Why won't my device connect to Android Auto in my vehicle?

Answer:

There could be several reasons why your device isn't connecting to Android Auto in your vehicle. First, ensure that your phone is properly plugged into the vehicle's USB port. If the navigation screen does not display a message saying "USB recognized (or reading...)", then the USB connection isn't recognized. Check for debris or corrosion in the phone's USB port, which can prevent the connection even though the phone charges. Visit a Samsung Service Center to have the port cleaned and try connecting again. Some car manufacturers like Volkswagen, SKODA, and SEAT require a software update for their car kits to enable proper connectivity with Android Auto. Contact your vehicle manufacturer's customer service center for further assistance.

To fix Bluetooth connection issues, use an appropriate cable for connection and clean the USB port if necessary. Additionally, remove any previously connected vehicles from your device by going to Settings > Connected devices > Android Auto > Previously connected cars. This will help resolve connection issues.
