Question
While using after account registering in the
3rd party Microsoft Intune Company Portal app, the device heats up and drains
battery quickly
Answer
We have identified that the repeated registration
of accounts in the 3rd Party Microsoft Intune Company Portal app may cause related
apps to continue running and result in this phenomenon.
Please try some actions to improve the situation
by deleting data and cache from the Data Restore Tool and the Google Play services
app, then also delete your work profile account and restart the phone.
- Settings > Apps > tap
Sort by(Filter and sort) > enable 'Show system apps' > tap
'OK' to apply
- Settings > Apps > Data
Restore Tool > Storage > tap Clear data/Clear cache
- Settings > Apps > Google
Play services > Storage > tap Clear data/Clear cache
- Delete work profile account (delete account
registered in Intune Company Portal app)
-
Settings > Accounts and backup > Manage accounts > delete
the account or go to Intune Company Portal app > log out the account
=> If you re-register your account
after taking above measures, the phenomenon may occur again. Therefore, keep
your account deleted while not using the Intune Company Portal app.
We have forwarded the issue to the relevant
app developer and requested improvement, so please keep the app up to date when
the update version is available.
MS team is working on a app update to improve
the situation. Fixed Intune app version will be released around early of April
through Google Play Store sequentially. (Fixed Intune app version : v5.0.6198.0
- app version may be changed by internal reason of MS side)
* Microsoft Intune Company Portal: com.microsoft.windowsintune.companyportal
And also, the issue can be affected by MS Authenticator
app, and MS team is working on releasing MS Authenticator app update version
as a hotfix as well. For devices that are only using MS Authenticator app, not
Intune Company Portal app, so please keep the MS Authenticator app up to date
when the hotfix version is available.
