Backup Your Device When Screen Damaged/Does Not Work; Device Still Powers On:

  • You can access and backup your device by connecting external display (monitor, TV, etc.) through screen mirroring.
  • Only supported on Galaxy devices with Android OS 12 or later version and Samsung DeX supported models.

 

Items Required:

  1. External display with HDMI or USB-C port, and cable to connect.
  2. USB-C / HDMI hub with USB-A ports.
  3. Mouse and Keyboard (wire/wireless).
  4. Galaxy phone (with broken screen).

* Android OS 12 or later version, Samsung Dex supported models.

 

Device Connection Setup:

  1. Connect the Monitor, Mouse and Keyboard to HDMI hub or adapter (Monitor to HDMI, Mouse/Keyboard to USB-A port).
  2. Connect the Galaxy phone(with broken screen) to HDMI hub or adapter (to USB-C port) while pressing and holding the volume up/down buttons of the Galaxy phone simultaneously (you can release the buttons once your phone is connected).
