How to Backup or Transfer data of Your Device 
When Screen Damaged/Does Not Work; Device Still Powers On? 
  
Answer 
Connect and Turn on Maintenance Mode 
    - Connect the Galaxy phone(with broken screen) 
    to HDMI hub or adapter (to USB-C port) while 
    pressing and holding the volume up/down buttons of the Galaxy phone simultaneously 
    (you can release the buttons once your phone is connected).
 
 
    - If the phone screen is mirrored to the 
    monitor, unlock it with your mouse or keyboard and run the Maintenance 
    Mode.
 
    - If the Samsung DeX screen appears on the 
    monitor, tab Apps menu in the bottom left corner > tab Exit DeX 
    to switch to the mirrored screen and run the Maintenance 
    Mode.
 
 
    - Run Maintenance 
    Mode to back up customer DATA or 
    Smart Switch to transfer customer
