Question
What is the result of this feature?
Answer
- The Sleep apnea feature can provide two
classifications - moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea detected or
not detected.
- Your watch will track how many relative
decreases in blood oxygen you have during sleep and check for signs of moderate
to severe obstructive sleep apnea based on estimated Apnea Hypopnea Index(AHI).
Your AHI is the number of breathing disruptions per hour of sleep. An index
of 15 or higher, which means an average of 15 or more breathing disruptions
per hour, is considered moderate to severe sleep apnea. Your watch can't
catch every case of obstructive sleep apnea(e.g. mild sleep apnea) and can't
detect central sleep apnea.
- Talk to your doctor first if the watch
has detected signs of obstructive sleep apnea.
