Pest Infestation Requirement:

 

Mice and cockroach infestations are common in Canada.

Pest infestations void the manufacturer warranty (see user manual), we can only make an exception if the customer provides us with a pest control certificate/report for the address where the appliance is located.

To prove that the issue has been resolved.

 

Normally we only find that out when the technician take pictures and report the issue to us.

Some technicians do not report the issue and complete the repair, which results to repeated repairs.

 

Mice like to chew on plastic hoses and wire sleeves, the materials are made of food based plastic and they like that.

Damages caused by pests are often found in dishwashers, fridges and stoves.

Pests like warm and humid environment, especially when it's cold outside.

Roaches normally nest in stove insulations and circuit boards, which can cause a fire due to short circuit.

Mice chews on drain hoses and wires, which can cause a flood or fire due to short circuit.

 

If a technician reports an infestation and the customer calls back to request service again, please ask the customer to provide us with a pest control certificate for the address where the appliance is located.

To prove that the issue has been resolved.

If customer refuses, please ask customer to read the warranty section in the user manual (available on www.samsung.com/ca)

In order to make an exception, the customer must provide us with a pest control certificate for the address where the appliance is located.
