PROBLEM 1:

Individual Icon Light Does Not Light Up

General Information

• Sometimes the lights on display may not illuminate even that specific feature is selected.
  
  
  • For instance, if someone pushes the "Lighting" button, the icon does not light up, but the lightbulb still turns on.
    

SOLUTION 1:

Display Configuration and Child Lock

If an individual light is not illuminating on your fridge, please check the following:

• Please make sure you are pushing the correct button for your desired option. For example, depending on the model, you may need to push an icon multiple times until you reach the right option.
  
  
• Some icon lights on your display remain illuminated all the time, while others disappear. This is normal. Certain icons, like the temperature display, will disappear after several seconds to help save energy. The icon will then reappear when the appropriate button is pushed.
  
  
• Please make sure your unit isn't in Child Lock Mode. Child Lock will disable the icons on your display, so they cannot be selected. Therefore, even if you push a certain button, the icon will not illuminate.
  
  

*If everything else on your display works (besides the unlit icon) and the rest of your unit is working properly, your unit may require service.

PROBLEM 2:

Ice Type Light (Cubed / Crushed) Does Not Light Up

SOLUTION 2:

Check Child Lock

If the Cubed Ice or Crushed Ice icon is not illuminating properly but is still dispensing the correct ice, please perform the following:

• Please make sure your unit isn't in Child Lock Mode. Child Lock will disable the icons on your display, so they cannot be selected. Therefore, even if you push a certain button, the icon will not illuminate.
  
  

*If Child Lock is NOT selected and the Ice Type icon still does not light up, then your unit requires service.

NOTE
The Child Lock feature can be turned on or off by selecting the appropriate button on their refrigerator's control panel and holding it for 3 seconds. Consult the unit's exact display (located under the "Remote Control" icon in FastLink) to determine which button activates the customer's Child Lock feature.
