PROBLEM 1: Error Code 41C on 3-Door French Door Family Hub models
SOLUTION 1: Check Software
If this the error code appears on your display, please perform the following:
- Please confirm the latest software update has been downloaded and installed on your fridge.
- If the the error occurs one time right after the update, it is normal. Touch OK, and the error message should go away.
*If the error occurs more than once after the update, service is required.
PROBLEM 2: Error Codes 88 88, 83E, 85E, or 86E
SOLUTION 2: Unplug Fridge
If any of these codes appear (88 88, 83E, 85E, or 86E), please perform the following:
- Please unplug the refrigerator or turn off power at your circuit breaker.
- After 60 seconds, power it back on.
*If the code returns, service is required.
IMPORTANT: Please do not unplug the refrigerator a second time or attempt any interaction with the panel to try to make the error code go away. This may make it harder for a technician to diagnose and correct the issue.
PROBLEM 3: Error Code PC ER
SOLUTION 3: Power and Wire Harness
If the error code PC ER appears on your display, please perform the following:
- Please unplug the refrigerator or turn off power at the circuit breaker.
- Disconnect and reconnect the wire harness above the door.
- Restore power to the unit.
*If the code returns, service is required.
IMPORTANT: Please do not unplug the refrigerator a second time or attempt any interaction with the panel to try to make the error code go away. This may make it harder for a technician to diagnose and correct the issue.
PROBLEM 4: All Other Error Codes
SOLUTION 4: Diagnostic Test or Unplug Fridge
- If your fridge is unplugged or plugged in for the first time, or a power outage has occurred, all of the icons on the display will flash. This is normal. The icons flashing means that your fridge is running a self diagnostic test.
- If you have removed a part from your fridge, such as an ice maker or light, this may result in an error/fault code. Please unplug the unit, re-install the missing part(s), and then plug the unit back. This should clear the code.
- If your fridge is a Family Hub model, it will have a Self Check function that reports past error codes that may have been dismissed. It will also check for any current error codes. For more information
check the users manual.
*This one of these problems still occurs, your fridge requires service.

NOTE All Samsung refrigerators are equipped with an onboard diagnostic system and have various ways of displaying an error code. This could take the form of:
- A specific line segment flashing.
- A specific code displays (such as 22 E).
