PROBLEM 4: All Other Error Codes

SOLUTION 4: Diagnostic Test or Unplug Fridge

  • If your fridge is unplugged or plugged in for the first time, or a power outage has occurred, all of the icons on the display will flash. This is normal. The icons flashing means that your fridge is running a self diagnostic test.

  • If you have removed a part from your fridge, such as an ice maker or light, this may result in an error/fault code. Please unplug the unit, re-install the missing part(s), and then plug the unit back. This should clear the code.

  • If your fridge is a Family Hub model, it will have a Self Check function that reports past error codes that may have been dismissed. It will also check for any current error codes. For more information check the users manual.

*This one of these problems still occurs, your fridge requires service.

IMPORTANT: Please do not unplug the refrigerator a second time or attempt any interaction with the panel to try to make the error code go away. This may make it harder for a technician to diagnose and correct the issue.

NOTE

All Samsung refrigerators are equipped with an onboard diagnostic system and have various ways of displaying an error code. This could take the form of:

  • A specific line segment flashing.
  • A specific code displays (such as 22 E).
