Troubleshooting For Water Dispenser

PROBLEMS COVERED:

Water from the Dispenser is Warm

Water or Ice Tastes or Smells Bad

Refrigerator Not Dispensing Water

 

FIRST ACTIVATE HRM (CUSTOMERS ONLY):

On your Family Hub, navigate to Settings > scroll to the bottom > select Remote Management.

Select Activate and wait for the server to connect.

Provide the displayed PIN Code to the Agent.

 

PROBLEM 1:

Water from the Dispenser is Warm

 

SOLUTION 1A:

Agents Check Fridge Via HRM

 

Verify Dispenser Lock is disabled in the Basic control tab. Disable if necessary.

Check water filter usage; advise replacement if almost 100% used.

Check Search Error tab for existing/past error codes; service if needed.

 

SOLUTION 1B:

Agents Explain Environmental Factors

 

Explain that using all cold water in the reservoir causes warm water; wait for it to cool.

During summers, warmer input water takes longer to cool.

 

PROBLEM 2:

Water or Ice Tastes or Smells Bad

 

SOLUTION 2A:

Customer Checks Fridge

 

For new fridges, dispense 5-6 gallons of water to flush the system.

New fridges may have a plastic taste; dispense 5-6 gallons to dissipate it.

Replace filters for older fridges; install a new one and flush the system.

If problem persists, contact a professional plumber.

 

SOLUTION 2B:

 Agent Checks Fridge Via HRM

 

Check water filter usage; advise replacement if almost 100% used.

Check Search Error tab for existing/past error codes; service if needed.

 

PROBLEM 3:

Refrigerator Not Dispensing Water

 

SOLUTION 3A:

Customer Checks Water Dispenser

 

Ensure both doors are closed when dispensing water.

Remove water filter; if water flows, replace the filter.

Clear air from water line by holding dispenser lever for 5 minutes, then dispense 5-6 gallons.

If water still doesn't flow, consult user manual or installer for installation issues.

 

SOLUTION 3B:
