PROBLEM 1: How Should I Clean the Exterior of my Stainless Steel Unit?

SOLUTION 1: Mild Cleaners

If you would like to clean your stainless steel fridge, please perform the following:

  1. Please use only mild, non-abrasive cleaners such as dish soap, vinegar, baking soda, or water. You can also buy brand name stainless steel cleaner and polishers from hardware or appliance stores.

  2. Please apply the cleaning solution to a soft, dry cloth and gently rub the affected area, following the same direction as the metal's grain.

WARNING: Do NOT apply the water or cleaner directly to the fridge, and NEVER use bleaches, cleaners with chlorides, or use abrasive sponges/brushes.

PROBLEM 2: How Do I Remove Stains?

SOLUTION 1: WD-40 Cleaner

If you want to remove stains like water streaks, WD-40 is an effective and safe product to use on your stainless steel fridge.

  • Apply a small amount of WD-40 to a clean rag and gently rub the affected area, following the direction of the metal's grain.

WARNING: Do NOT apply the cleaner directly to the fridge, and NEVER use abrasive sponges/brushes.

Please note that WD-40:

  • Will not harm the stainless finish, but it may leave a slight oily odor. This will fade over time.

  • Because WD-40 cleans so well, you may notice a that the cleaned areas may look different if the cleaner is not evenly applied. In some cases, WD-40 MAY may make the stainless steel's shade appear lighter or darker. This is not permanent damage.

    • To resolve this, please clean the entire area evenly with WD-40. This should even out the color differences.

PROBLEM 3: How Do I Remove Sticky Residue From the Door?

SOLUTION 3: Mild Detergent or WD-40

If a sticky residue or adhesive (left over from packaging) is on your fridge, please perform the following:

  • To remove adhesive residue left from packaging, use a mild detergent and a soft, non abrasive damp cloth.

WARNING: Do NOT apply the cleaner directly to the fridge, and NEVER use bleaches, cleaners with chlorides, or use abrasive sponges/brushes.

  • If this does not work, apply a small amount of WD-40 to a clean rag, and gently rub the affected area, following the direction of the metal's grain.
