Question

What should I do if the Mac Address Test fails during the Network Test?

Answer

First, perform a Factory Reset on your TV. A Factory Reset resets all settings of the TV, including Brightness, Contrast, Volume, and others. To perform a Factory Reset, follow these steps:

  • With the TV turned on, press and hold the EXIT button on the remote for 10-15 seconds.
  • After 10-15 seconds, a message will appear informing you that all settings will be reset. Use the Left Arrow button to select OK and then press the ENTER button. The TV will power off by itself.
  • Turn the TV on and follow the onscreen prompts to complete the initial setup.

Run the Network Test again.

  • If the Mac Address Test fails again, the TV needs service. Click the 'Create Online Service Request' button to get the TV repaired.
  • If the Mac Address Test passes, but another test fails, return to the list of Network Tests.
  • If all tests pass, your TV is successfully connected to your network.
