Question

What should I do if the Mac Address Test fails during the Network Test?

Answer

If the Mac Address Test fails during the Network Test, perform a Factory Reset and then rerun the Network Test. A Factory Reset resets all TV settings, including brightness, contrast, volume, and others. To perform a Factory Reset:

  • With the TV on, press and hold the EXIT button on the remote for 10-15 seconds.
  • After 10-15 seconds, a message will appear stating that all settings will be reset. Use the Left Arrow button to select OK and then press the ENTER button. The TV will turn off automatically.
  • Turn the TV back on and follow the onscreen prompts to complete the initial setup.

Run the Network Test again.

  • If the Mac Address Test fails again, try connecting the wireless LAN adapter (linkstick) to a different USB port on the TV. If the issue persists, the wireless LAN adapter needs servicing.
  • If the Mac Address Test passes but another test fails, return to the list of Network Tests.
  • If all tests pass, the TV is successfully connected to your network.
