Question:

Why is my TV unable to access the internet even though it's connected to the network? What should I do to fix this issue?

Answer:

If the Internet Service Test fails, the TV is properly connected to the network, but is unable to reach the internet. To resolve this, follow these steps:

Important: Before troubleshooting, verify that other devices (such as a Computer) are able to access the internet.

  1. Power off your TV, Modem, and Router.
  2. Unplug the power for your Modem and Router.
  3. Plug in your Modem and turn it on.
  4. Plug in your Router and turn it on.
  5. Turn on your TV, and then run the network test again.
    • If all tests pass, the TV is successfully connected to your network and the internet.
    • If the Internet Service Test fails again, there is a problem with your Router or Modem. Contact your network administrator or router manufacturer for help troubleshooting your modem or router. Possible causes could be:
      • Defective Modem Or Router
      • Blocked Ports
      • Firewall
      • Block IP Addresses
      • Other Security Settings
