Connect A Recording Device With An Analog Tuner
Cyber

The FCC has mandated that television broadcasters convert all over-the-air analog broadcasts to digital by June, 2009. If you connect a recording device with an analog tuner to your TV and to an antenna, you will no longer be able to record after this date unless you have purchased Digital-to-Analog converter box to go along with your antenna. Most cable and satellite operators, however, will continue to broadcast analog signals. If you connect your recording device with an analog tuner using cable or satellite, in most cases you will be able to record after June, 2009. To confirm contact your service provider.

To connect a recording device with an analog tuner to your TV follow the instructions below:

  • A length of Coaxial (RF) Cable (long enough to go from the wall to the recorder)
  • Second length of Coaxial (RF) Cable or a Composite A/V cable depending on the connection available on your recording device.
  • Note: When using SD connections you will recieve a Standard Definition (SD) picture on your television from the recording device.
