To connect a TV, Standard Definition (SD) Box, and recording device (VCR, DVD Recorder, etc.), you need the following cables:

Connecting an SD box and Recording Device to Your TV

To connect your TV, SD box, and recording device, follow these steps: 

  1. Connect one length of coaxial RF cable from the wall to the CABLE IN or SATELLITE IN on you SD Box.
  2. Connect a set of composite video (yellow) and audio (red and white) cables from the video and audio AV OUT on the SD Box to the video and audio AV IN on your Recording Device.
  1. Connect the HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT on the Recording Device to the HDMI IN on the TV.
     
  2. Press the button on your recording device's remote that switches between the different inputs until you have selected the AV input to which you've connected the SD box.
  3. Note: Common names for this button are listed below. If your remote does not have one of these buttons, you may have to contact the manufacturer of your recording device to complete this step.

  1.  Press the SOURCE button on your TV's remote to turn the TV to the HDMI input selected in step 3. 

Important: You must have the set top box and the recording device on to watch TV.
