DVI-to-HDMI

Question:

How to connect a recorder to my TV using a DVI-to-HDMI cable?

Answer:

To connect a recorder to your TV using a DVI-to-HDMI cable, follow these steps:

  1. Connect  the coaxial cable from the antenna or cable jack on your wall to the RF IN on your recorder.
  2. Optional: Connect the second length of coaxial cable from the RF OUT of the recorder to the ANT IN (Coax) on the rear of your television.
  3. Note: Completing this step allows you to turn the recorder off and still watch TV. To watch TV when the recorder is off, press [Source] on the TV remote to switch to the TV input.

  1. Connect the DVI end of the DVI-to-HDMI cable to the DVI OUT on your recorder and the HDMI end of the DVI-to-HDMI cable to the HDMI 1 in on the TV.
  1. Connect the audio (red and white) cables from the DVI audio OUT on the recorder to the DVI audio IN on the TV.
  2. Note: The DVI audio input is a Mini Stereo Plug (3.5mm). You will need to have a Mini plug to RCA converter or cable.

  1. Press the SOURCE button on the TV's remote to switch to the HDMI 1/DVI input.
