My TV Does Not Come Out Of Standby Mode
Cyber

Question:

Why is my TV in standby mode and won't wake up? What are the possible causes and solutions?

Answer:

There are three potential causes for your TV being stuck in standby mode:

Computer in standby state: Ensure your computer is turned on and not in a standby state by checking its power light. If blinking, try restarting the computer.

No video signal through VGA cable: Disconnect the VGA cable from the TV or computer. If the TV displays "Check Signal Cable," it indicates that the computer may not be outputting a signal or the VGA cable might be faulty.

Defective VGA cable: Replace the current VGA cable with a known working one. If the issue persists, contact your computer's manufacturer or video card manufacturer for assistance.

To troubleshoot the issue, follow these steps:

Check if your computer is in a standby state. If so, power it down and restart.

Disconnect the VGA cable from the TV or computer. If the TV shows "Check Signal Cable," replace the VGA cable with a functional one. Contact your computer or video card manufacturer if the problem continues.
