To begin troubleshooting follow the steps below:

  1. Have your television set to the PC input and powered on. Have your laptop powered off.
  2. Power on your laptop. While your laptop is booting up you should be able to see the laptop's splash screen.

    3. Note: Your laptop will display what is called a splash screen while booting, before loading your OS. The splash screen can either be the manufacturers logo or system text depending on your bios. An example of a splash screen is below.
