How to fix the interior lights that are out in my Samsung refrigerator?

SOLUTION 1A: Determine It Is LED or Incandescent Lighting

If some (but not all) of the lights in your fridge are out, first you need to determine if the lights are LED or incandescent.

• Most new French Door models have LED lighting in the refrigerator and incandescent lighting in the freezer.
  
  
• Most older French Door models have incandescent lighting in both the freezer (1 bulb) and refrigerator (2 bulbs).
  
  
• If you are still unsure what kind of lighting is in your fridge, please check your fridge's user manual.

SOLUTION 1B: Replacing LED Lighting

If your fridge has LED lighting and the bulbs have gone out, we recommend having a service technician replace the lights.*

• If you are within the 1-year warranty period, Samsung will cover the parts and labor to have your LED lighting replaced.
  
  
• If you are outside of the 1-year warranty period, you may have to pay additional charges.

SOLUTION 1C: Replacing Incandescent Lighting

IMPORTANT: Refrigerators with incandescent lighting use size E26 bulbs with a maximum of 60 Watts. These bulbs can be obtained at any local hardware or home appliance store. In addition, the bulbs can be purchased through Samsung Canada Parts. The part number for the incandescent bulb is: #4713-001223.

• If only one bulb is out on your fridge, you can replace the bulb yourself.
  
  
• If multiple bulbs are out, please try replacing just one bulb to see if that resolves the issue. If the replacement bulb produces light, it means the old bulb ran out of energy, and there is nothing wrong with your unit.
  
  
  • From there, please replace the other bulbs and see if they work.
    
    
• If any replacement bulbs do not light up, please double check that they are properly installed.

*If you have replaced the lights and the issue is still not resolved, your fridge will require service.
