How To Connect An Antenna Or Direct Cable Line (No Box)

 

Note: Menus and illustrations may not exactly match your TV.

  1. Connect an antenna or direct RF (Coax) cable line to the input on the back of the TV.
  1. With the TV on, press MENU on your remote to bring up the Main Menu. Then, press the down arrow on the Channel Menu, and then press ENTER.
  2. Important: If the Channel Menu is greyed out, exit the menu and then press the TV button on your remote.

    Note: The sub menu's name will be displayed on the left side of the menu.

  1. In the submenu, select Auto Program and press ENTER.
  1. Select either Air or Cable and press ENTER. If you selected Air, skip to step 7. If you selected Cable, proceed to step 5.
  1. Choose between STD, HRC, or IRC depending on your cable provider's transmission standard. Press ENTER again to start channel programming.
  2. Note: The most common cable system is STD, however some smaller cable companies still use the older HRC or IRC systems.

    Your cable company transmits digital and analog on the same cable system. 

  1. Press ENTER once more on Start to begin programming channels into the TV.

  1. The TV will memorize all stations and remove scrambled ones. This process takes around 20 minutes.

  1. When finished, press ENTER to watch TV.
