Mode Not Supported
This error message only appears
if you have set the source on your TV to a device (such as a set top box or
DVD player) that is set to a resolution the TV cannot accept.
The conditions for receiving this
error message are below, click on the one that best matches your situation to
see recommended solutions.
I Have
Connected A Computer To The VGA (PC) Input On The TV
If you have connected a computer
to the VGA (PC) input on the TV and the resolution and/ or refresh rate on the
Computer is set incorrectly or the video card drivers are not supported you
will receive this error message. Some things you can try are:
1. Set the resolution
to 1024 x 768 and the refresh rate to 60 Hertz and re-test.
2. Update your video
card to the latest drivers.
I Have Connected An External
Device With The Composite Video Connection
The composite analog input on
the TV cannot accept a resolution greater than 480i. If you connect a device
to a composite analog input, you must set the resolution of the device to 480i.
If you do not know how to set
the resolution on the device, see the device's owner's manual for instructions.
Note: Many DVD players will have
a P.Scan button that can be mistakenly pressed and causes this error.
I Have an HDMI Connected Device
If you have any device connected
to the TV be sure the box is outputting a resolution that your TV supports.
Your TV supports these resolutions
through HDMI:
� 480i (640 x
480 interlaced)
� 480p (640 x
480 progressive)
� 720p (1280
x 720 progressive)
After you have confirmed the resolution
coming from your HDMI source is a supported format try the following to remove
the "Mode Not Supported" Message.
