This error message only appears if you have set the source on your TV to a device (such as a set top box or DVD player) that is set to a resolution the TV cannot accept.

The conditions for receiving this error message are below, click on the one that best matches your situation to see recommended solutions.

I Have Connected A Computer To The VGA (PC) Input On The TV

If you have connected a computer to the VGA (PC) input on the TV and the resolution and/ or refresh rate on the Computer is set incorrectly or the video card drivers are not supported you will receive this error message. Some things you can try are:

1.  Set the resolution to 1024 x 768 and the refresh rate to 60 Hertz and re-test.

2.  Update your video card to the latest drivers.

I Have Connected An External Device With The Composite Video Connection

The composite analog input on the TV cannot accept a resolution greater than 480i. If you connect a device to a composite analog input, you must set the resolution of the device to 480i.

If you do not know how to set the resolution on the device, see the device's owner's manual for instructions.

Note: Many DVD players will have a P.Scan button that can be mistakenly pressed and causes this error.

I Have an HDMI Connected Device

If you have any device connected to the TV be sure the box is outputting a resolution that your TV supports.

Your TV supports these resolutions through HDMI:

   480i (640 x 480 interlaced)

   480p (640 x 480 progressive)

   720p (1280 x 720 progressive)

After you have confirmed the resolution coming from your HDMI source is a supported format try the following to remove the "Mode Not Supported" Message.
