Subject:  Selecting Signal Type (IR / Wi-Fi)

The touch remote control allows you to select the way the commands are sent to the TV.

IR: Infrared will send the commands to the TV via a beam of infrared light.

This is how almost all standard remote controls work.

With this type of signal you need to have line of sight with the TV and noting can be blocking the IR receiver on the TV.

This signal is also susceptible to environmental factors such as excess IR interference created by other devices and lighting in the area.

Wi-Fi: The Wireless method will send commands through either your home wireless network or directly to the Wi-Fi adapter on the TV depending on your setup.

This method means you do not have to have line of sight with the TV or even be in the same room.

Although depending on networking equipment and environmental conditions (For Example: material used for home construction) trhe Wi-Fi signal may be blocked or high network traffic could cause delayed response from the remote.

Note: You can only use the remote advanced functions like Twin View with the Wi-Fi connection method.
