Question:

How does the Energy Saving mode work on my TV, and how do I set it up?

Answer:

Energy Saving Mode

The Energy Saving feature adjusts the brightness of your TV to reduce power consumption.

It can also help reduce eye fatigue, especially in dim or dark rooms.

The Energy Saving feature has five settings: High, Med, Low, Auto, and Off.

  • Off: Turns off the Energy Saving feature. Off provides the brightest picture, but there is no reduction in power consumption.
  • High: Greatly reduces screen brightness. Use the High setting when the TV is in a dark room.
  • Med: Significantly reduces screen brightness. Use the Medium setting when the TV is in a moderately lit room.
  • Low: Slightly reduces screen brightness. Use the Low setting when the TV is in a slightly dim room.
  • Auto: Automatically adjusts the Energy Saving feature between the High and Low settings depending on the incoming signal.
    • Use Auto when you want to reduce power consumption and keep the picture at the same brightness when it transitions between dark and bright scenes.

Important: Because the Energy Saver feature adjusts from Low to High when you set it to Auto, the image may appear to flicker as it adjusts for the incoming brightness of the picture. If the flickering interferes with viewing, set the Energy Saving feature to a different setting.
