Black Tone is closely related to the "Brightness" option.

Adjusting the Black level option changes what the TV interperets as "Black".

For example: Setting the option really high will change a deep navy blue color to be displayed as black.

This can cause you to loose details to the shadows on dark scenes.

Setting the option correctly for your viewing preferences and signal type will enhance the black colors displayed on the TV to be a nice true black.

This option has four settings: Off, Dark, Darker, Darkest.
