Subject:  Auto Protection

The Auto Protection feature will turn off the TV if it recognizes that the same issue has remained on the screen for the set period of time.

For example: If auto protection is set for 2 Hours and a video game is paused, and then left for 2 hours the TV will shut down to prevent any image retention.

The Auto Protection feature has 5 settings:

  • Off (Disables the Auto Protection feature).
  • 2 Hours
  • 4 Hours
  • 8 Hours
  • 10 Hours

Important: Any image that remains on the TV for 4 Hours may cause an after image or image retention.

Setting the Auto protection to Off, 4, 8, or 10 hours is not recommended.
