Why does my TV say "Locked" when I press a button and how can I fix it?

Answer:

There are some people the have reported that their TV says "Locked" whenever a button is press and they cannot do anything with the TV. This problem is not actually a problem with TV and this situation is caused by signal from the customers Set-Top-Box (STB).

After taking a picture of the problem follow these steps;

1. With the TV ON unplug the TV from the wall outlet.

2. Wait 30 seconds then plug the TV back in and test.
• If the problem is resolved this is the end of troubleshooting.
• If the problem is not resolved continue to Step 3.

3. Unplug the STB for 30 seconds.
• If the problem is resolved this is the end of troubleshooting.
• If the problem is not resolved have the customer contact their STB provider.
