Question:

How to troubleshoot audio sync issues on a TV connected to a cable outlet or antenna?

Answer:

Check if the audio is leading or following the picture.

Test other channels to see if the audio is in sync.

If the audio is in sync on other channels, contact your service provider for help.

If the audio is consistently out of sync, test more channels (UHF, VHF, and Digital).

If the audio is out of sync on all channels, service may be required for your TV. Create an online service request to start the process.

Terms:

Leading - Audio comes before the video (lips moving)

Following - Video comes before the audio (hearing sound)

UHF - Ultra High Frequency (channel range)

VHF - Very High Frequency (channel range)

Digital - Signal format used for broadcasting
