Question:

What are the requirements for using audio files with Media Play on my Samsung television?

Answer:

The audio files you use with Media Play must meet the following requirements:

  • The files must be in an MP3 format. No wma files, flac files, ogg files, aac files, etc.
  • The file names must be in English, French, or Spanish.
  • The folder and file names must contain only alphanumeric characters. Wiselink displays files with names that contain non-alphanumeric characters as "???"
  • MP3 files with DRM that have been downloaded from a non-free site cannot be played. Digital Right Management (DRM) is a technology that supports the creation of content, the distribution and management of the content in an integrated an comprehensive way, including the protection of the rights and interests of the content providers, the prevention os the copying of contents, as well as managing billing and settlements.

Other Considerations

  • If a filename is too long, Wiselink displays the file name in the following format: "filename...+.mp3".
  • The number of music files on the USB device should not exceed 3000, Wiselink may not display any file exceeding the 3000 file limit in the Music List.

Notes:

  • SAMSUNG is not responsible for any data file damage or data loss.
  • When your TV displays the loading icon, do not remove the USB device.
  • The larger the file, the longer it takes to start.
