 How to update my television's firmware through my home network?

 

Answer:

Note: Before checking for a new firmware upgrade you need to make sure your TV is connected to your home network. Click here for information about connecting your TV to your home network. 

Follow these steps to update your televisions firmware through your home network.

  1. With your television powered on, press the MENU button to open the Main Menu.
  1. Use the ▲ or ▼ button to select the Support section of the Main Menu, then press ENTER.
  1. Use the ▲ or ▼ button to select Software Upgrade, then press ENTER.
  1. Use the ▲ or ▼ button to select "By Online", then press ENTER.
  2. A dialog box will appear asking you to wait while the TV accesses the server. If there is a firmware available the firmware download will begin automatically.
  3. Note: If there is no firmware available you will recieve the message stating that there is no firmware available.

  1. When your TV finishes installing the firmware update it will power off automatically and then power back on.
  2. Note: Depending on your connection speed and file size a firmware update may take 10-15 mins.
