Connection Method Quality

The quality of the connection method you use also heavily affects your image quality. Connection methods, in order of highest quality to lowest quality, are as follows:

    1. HDMI/ DVI
    2. VGA (PC)
    3. Component A/V
    4. Composite A/V
    5. Analog RF*

If you are using connections 4 or 5 (in red) your TV is always getting a 480i signal and the picture will look fuzzy on your set for an example click here. Samsung strongly recommends you use a higher quality connection method from the top of the list.

* You can also receive HD through the RF connection on this TV without using a cable box. The RF connection is only the lowest quality if you are using a cable or satellite box.
