Question:
How
to fix the unexpected auto power off/on problem on my 2012 Samsung LED TV?
Answer:
There
have been reports of some 2012 Samsung LED TVs powering off and on unexpectedly.
This issue has been found to occur due to the TV's interaction with certain
DLNA-connected devices such as the Sonos network sound system, TVMOBiLi, and
others. Affected models include LED EH5300, ES6100 through ES8000 series TVs.
To
resolve this issue, follow these steps:
Disconnect
the TV from the network:
Remove
the Ethernet cable.
Connect
the TV to a different wireless network.
Manually
enter all 0's in the manual network setup.
Wait
for the next firmware version to address this issue.
Corrective
firmware versions currently available:
Echo-P
Boards: 1017.8 or higher (LED ES75*0/ES8000)
X10P
Boards: 1012.1 or higher (LED EH5300, ES6100~ES7100)
If
you already have the corrective firmware installed but continue to experience
the issue, your TV may require servicing.
In
case the auto power off/on problem persists even after disconnecting from the
network, proceed with general troubleshooting methods.
