Subject:  Using Cables Over 6ft in Length

Cable length can affect many things between your TV and external device:

  • “Mode Not Supported” error message.
  • “No Signal” error message.
  • “Check Signal Cable” error message.
  • No HDMI-CEC (Anynet+) function.
  • Picture degradation.
  • Picture delays.
  • Sync issues.

Because cable length can affect many different things and cause many different issues test all devices and functionality with cables 6ft or shorter.

If devices and functionality work with shorter cables then the longer cables being used are the source of the issue, not the TV or external devices.

To resolve this issue switch to shorter cables or ISF rated cables need to be longer.
