Issue
Water Dispenser (not working at all, not dispensing
properly, dispense slowly, water not turned on, turned off)
Solution
Kindly ask the customer for the following to
resolve the issue:
Was the water dispenser working before?
If no, it could be an installation issue,
customer must call the installer first, the water inlet tube could be crushed,
kinked or water tap could be closed (located under the sink or in the basement)
Did the customer select "WATER" button, if any?
If not selected, ice will be dispensing
instead of water.
Any Error Code?
If an error code is present, the water dispenser
won't work, for safety reasons, even if the error code is not related to a water
dispenser issue.
Error
Codes
Is the control panel locked (child lock)?
- Ask customer to press the fridge or
freezer button and see if it works, if not, the control panel could be locked.
- Holding "Control Lock" for
3 seconds should unlock the control panel, if not, refer to the user manual
to find out how to unlock the control panel.
Did the customer replace the water filter lately?
- If not installed properly, the result
will be low water pressure or no water at all.
- It is recommended to close the water
tap before installing the new filter, if not, it will be much harder to
install the new filter.
Is the water dispenser dispensing water, but very slowly?
- 1 glass of water should not take longer
than 20 seconds to fill.
- If it does, then customer must call
installer or a plumber to check the water tube and tap, the water pressure
should be at least 30 PSI.
Is the door alarm beeping?
- If yes, book a service call.
- The water or ice dispenser will not
work, unless the computer board detects that the doors are closed properly.
Note:
- For new installation, customer must hold
the water lever to purge the system, until water starts coming out of the
nozzle, normally take up to 1 minute to purge.
- For side by side model, if freezer temperature
is lower than 0F, the water tube in the left door could freeze and stop
water from flowing to the dispenser nozzle.
- If installer used a "flood safe"
inlet hose (not recommended), the hose will automatically close if a back
pressure is detected.
