Question:

How can customers disable Smart Security Notifications and scan for viruses on their 2017 or 2018 Samsung Smart TVs? Also, how can they delete notifications and perform a cold boot on their TVs?

 

Answer:

Using Smart Security Scan:

Press the "HOME" button on your remote control and go to "SETTINGS."

Press "GENERAL," then select "SYSTEM MANAGER."

Find and press "SMART SECURITY," then select "SCAN."

Deleting Notifications:

Select the "HOME" button on your remote control.

Then select "NOTIFICATION" and "DELETE ALL NOTIFICATIONS."

Cold Boot The TV:

Unplug the power cable, wait 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.

Alternatively, while the TV is ON, press and hold the POWER button on your remote and wait five seconds.

 

Note: A software update to address this issue will be available in September.
