How To Power Cycle the Network

Answer:

Power cycling the network is a good way to clear cached information, release IP's, and refresh the network.

To power cycle a network follow these steps:

    Unplug the modem and router.

Tip: Some modems have a built in battery backup. If this is the case, the battery must be removed to power cycle the network.

    Power off the TV.

    Wait 30 seconds.

Plug the modem back in. Wait about 1 minute or until the lights on the modem come back on.

Plug the router back in. Wait about 1 minute for the router to boot back up.

    Power on the TV.
