 How to connect a Samsung Smart TV to the Internet using either a wireless or wired connection?

 

Answer:

To connect the TV to the network follow the steps below for the type of connection (Wireless / Wired) being used.

 

Important: 2018 models UN**NU7100/UN**NU710D,  UN**NU7200, and UN**NU7300/UN**NU730D only support 2.4 Ghz networks.

 

Wireless:

 

To connect the TV to the network wirelessly, follow the steps below:

 

Note: Be sure to have the wireless router's SSID (name) and password settings before attempting to connect.

 

    1.    Press the Home button on the Samsung remote.

 

    2.    Select Settings.

 

    3.    Select General.

 

    4.    Select Network.

 

    5.    Select Open Network Settings.

 

    6.    Select Wireless, and the TV automatically begins to search for wireless networks that are in range.

 

    7.    Select the wireless network from the list.

Note: If the SSID is not broadcast, manually add the network's SSID by selecting Add Network.

 

    8.    If the network is password protected, enter the wireless network's password.

 

    9.    The TV attempts to connect to the network. If successful, select OK from the pop up message to exit to the network menu.

 

Wired:

 

To connect the television to the network with a wired Ethernet connection, follow these steps:

 

Note: When a LAN cable is connected, the TV automatically accesses the internet.

 

    1.    Connect the Ethernet cable to the home network equipment.

    2.    Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the One Connect Box.

    3.    Press the Home button on the Samsung remote.

    4.    Select Settings.

 

    5.    Select General.

 

    6.    Select Network.

 

    7.    Select Open Network Settings.

 

    8.    Select Wired.

 

    9.    Once the TV is connected successfully, select Ok to exit the Network menu.
