Water from dispenser Tastes Like Plastic

Question:

Customer complained about the water from the dispenser tasting like plastic.

Answer:

This is normal initially, especially when the refrigerator is brand new. The water system inside your fridge consists of plastic components such as lines and reservoirs, which can cause the dispensed water to have a plastic odor. Over time, the plastic odor will fade away and won't be noticeable anymore in your water. To help dissipate the plastic odor faster, we recommend flushing 5-6 gallons of water from the dispenser when setting up your fridge. This process will also help remove any air trapped in the system. Please note that setting up a service appointment for this issue isn't necessary.
