oE or oC Error Code (Over flow, Slow Drain Error, [Auto+Heavy] Light Flashing)

Symptom

oE or oC Error Code (Over flow, Slow Drain Error, [Auto+Heavy] Light Flashing)

SOLUTION 1:

Meaning:

This error code means there is more water in the dishwasher than there should be.

This is often related to an overfilling or a slow draining issue.

Questions to ask customer:

1.  Is it a newly installed dishwasher, how many times has it been used?

*If less than 5 times, customer needs to call installer back.

2.  Is the drain filter dirty?

*Ask customer to remove and clean the drain filter (see A.MAINTENANCE below)

3.  Did the error code appeared the end of the cycle?

*If it's happening at the end, it could be due to excess detergent (suds)

Avoid using too much soap, for example one pod or tablet is designed for full load only, for small load, use liquid (see Cleaning and Maintenance instructions below)

If customer is using pods or tablets, inform customer that it's designed for full loads only, for small load, use liquid detergent.

SUDS:

4.  Ask customer to inspect the drain hose under the sink, check if it's crushed/kinked or not looped (see pictures below).

*If it's not looped, the remaining water in the drain hose will slowly return back to the machine

DRAIN HOSE:

5.  Turn OFF the dishwasher circuit breaker for 1 hour to clear the error code, if customer calls back reporting the same error code, then book service.

Possible Defective Components:

  • Water supply Valve is not closing properly (slowly filling all the time)
  • Flow Meter defective.
  • Main PCB defective.
