PROBLEM 1: Buttons Not Working

SOLUTION 1:

If the buttons on your dishwasher's control panel are not working, there is probably a simple solution to fix the problem.

1. Power off the dishwasher to clear the control panel's memory, and then have them power it back on again. Immediately after it turns back on, press the desired button again.

2. Make sure your are firmly and directly pressing the center of the button.

• You should NOT use their fingernail; the control panel responds to electrostatic discharge, so it's important that you make contact with the button using the skin of your finger.

3. Make sure that Child Lock is NOT ON.

4. Check if the control panel's surface is clean. A dirty surface can inhibit the sensors in the buttons from accurately detecting your finger.

5. Be careful not to touch multiple buttons at once. If you push near the edge of the button, you may actually make contact with the next button. The control panel will not respond properly to this command.

Important: Samsung's dishwashers use a control panel that is a "smart touch" pad. It recognizes the user's touch habit (the angle, pressure, duration, etc. of their touch). Repeated operation of the same key in a short time will cause the sensitivity of the button to go "dull." In other words, if you get frustrated and repeatedly push the same button in a short span of time, the button will stop responding. The button will regain its sensitivity after 1 minute.

*If the buttons still do not respond properly after all these steps, then the button sensors needs to be replaced.
