PROBLEM 1: Check Water Level

SOLUTION 1:

If you want to check your dishwasher's water supply for troubleshooting purposes, please perform the following:

  • Before using the dishwasher for the first time, check all connections at the water supply valve and faucets for leaks.

  • Make sure the dishwasher is connected to a hot water supply with a temperature between 120°F (49°C) and 149°F (65°C). The temperature should not exceed 149°F (65°C) to prevent damage to dishes.

    • If the hot water temperature does not meet the requirements, it can cause issues with cleaning/drying performance and cause longer cycle times.

  • Check if the water supply pressure is between 20 and 120 psi (pounds per square inch).

    • Water pressure less than 20 psi (140 kpa) will prevent the water supply valve from shutting off completely.
    • Low water pressure can also cause the dishwasher to take longer to fill than the washer's electronic controls allow.
    • This makes the dishwasher turn off early because it has a programmed fill-time limit that is designed to prevent overflowing/flooding.

  • Periodically check for leaks at water supply line and/or drain hose.

To reduce the risk of leaks and water damage, perform the following:

  • Make water faucets easily accessible.

  • Turn off faucets when the dishwasher is not in use.
